We have a lot to lose if we keep worrying so let’s stop worrying and achieve more,” said an elated Daga on winning the ET Startup Award in the ET-Facebook Woman Ahead category For the past few months, a new kitchen has been making life easier for residents of Delhi-NCR. FreshMenu is a full-stack online kitchen, serving global cuisine right to your doorstep. It has daily refreshing menus, unlike a restaurant, with offerings spread across mains, salads, appetisers and desserts, at an affordable and all-inclusive price. Founded in 2014 by Rashmi Daga, an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, FreshMenu is based out of Bengaluru and now has expanded to Mumbai, Gurugram and Delhi with 26 operational kitchens. "Each kitchen services orders that arise from the neighbourhood localities around the kitchen location, thereby ensuring fresh food delivered within 45 minutes to the customers. FreshMenu CEO Rashmi Daga founded her multiple satellite kitchen-based gourmet meals delivery service firm in Bangalore in 2014. Hers is not a food aggregator service like Swiggy or Zomato. FreshMenu is an online restaurant which delivers chef-cooked fresh meals in a box to customers residing within 5 kms radius of their satellite kitchen. Career & Education – Company, University, & College Before setting up FreshMenu, Rashmi headed the sales division at Olacabs from December 2013 to July 2014. Prior to that, she was working with an online jewelry store Bluestone.com as SVP Sales from March 2013 to October 2013. In January 2008, she was at TutorVista Global Pvt Ltd as its VP-Operations. There she stayed for nearly 3 years and 4 months with her stint ending in April 2011. Before she joined TutorVista, she was a Regional Sales Executive at Johnson & Johnson Ltd. From December 2005 to December 2007. She also had a stint at IBM as Business Manager from 2003 to 2005. Daga of FreshMenu has studied Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. She also did PGDM from IIM-Ahmedabad. 2
